If you see an emoticon in the course when it should be text, there is a setting that needs to be adjusted.
- Once in the course, click More from the horizontal menu under the course title at the top.
- Click Filters from the drop-down menu.
- For "Display emoticons as images", select Off from the drop-down menu.
