The category feature in Moodle is a way of organizing courses. This grouping lets administrators manage and organize many courses into logical groups.

To add a category:

  1. Click My courses on the top navigation bar.
  2. On the My courses page, click the three dots button.
  3. The course categories section will be on the left; click Create new category button.
